As a woman I am naturally very fashion conscious. I have been this way as long as I can remember. I notice what other women are wearing. I notice the accessories that girls choose and the over all look of how they present themselves.

I also love shopping for dresses and other clothing. The job I have requires business casual wear most days. I do spend some time in the court room so this requires a business suit or either a skirt or trouser. The court room area is always a great place to people watch. Some people are deviant and dress in torn dirty clothes. Other people dress as if they are going to a formal event. You can always point out the people that are not used to getting dressed up.

A Surprise from My Husband

My husband knows that I am tuned in to fashion. He also loves to surprise me. Through the years he has made reservations at a new posh restaurant or will get tickets for a play and will not tell me where we are going.

To make sure I am dressed for the evening my husband lets me know in advance what to wear.

In the beginning he would say put on your little black dress we are going out. I am a firm believer in having a nice selection of party dresses for my wardrobe. However, I did not like wearing the same thing every time he took me out for a surprise evening. Now that he has paid more attention to what other women wear to different events he will suggest other clothing options for me to put on.

We do not have a high income. We live comfortably and like to spend our money on entertainment. Because of this I have found that if I purchase good quality classic styles of clothing I can be dressed well and create many different outfits.

The classic cuts usually include dresses or skirts that are down to the knee. If you go too short you limit the years you should wear it, and if you go too long this dates the outfit.

Knee length seems to always be in style. I choose neck lines that are either rounded or square. Both are classic designs that are not going to age the outfit. If you do not think you will wear a little black dress, or if you do not like the color black next to your complexion, go with a simple black skirt that you can exchange tops with.

A skirt can be dressed up with a silk blouse or tops with beading. It can also look more casual by wearing it with a sweater. You will never go wrong by adding classic looks to your collection of clothing. Now, you are ready for your husband or boyfriend to surprise you!!
